TradeRev recently released in-app updates for the Canadian market that aims to improve the user experience for car dealers.
In a news release, the company said improving transport has been a major focus in 2019 to ensure buyers can get their purchased vehicle faster and more efficiently.
“For many Canadian auto dealers, once they find inventory, their biggest challenge is coordinating transportation,” said Keith Crerar, Executive Vice President of Global Operations at TradeRev.
When asked why dealers should care about the in-app updates, Crerar said the company is backed by the KAR Global family’s auto tech, data and ancillary service capabilities, and that they’ve been able to integrate transport and financing capabilities as in-app features — “helping create a more seamless, efficient end-to-end customer experience for dealers.”
“Our transportation capabilities come from KAR Global’s STRATIM solution,” said Crerar. “Not only can we provide real-time quotes for transportation, but dealers can trigger the transport process and pay within the TradeRev app. Sellers know the vehicle won’t be sitting on their lots taking up valuable inventory space for long, and buyers know they will have in-demand inventory on their lots promptly.”
Crerar said they are always looking for areas of improvement, and improving delivery times is one of those areas. TradeRev’s Global Logistics team focuses on improving delivery times by streamlining the process, and have been able to significantly reduce delivery times for transport under 150 kilometres.
“We’re not done yet. Our goal is to deliver vehicles transported under 150 km in two days and in three days no matter the distance,” said Crerar. “In the meantime, we will continue to activate enhancements that enable greater access to trades, increase buyer confidence and improve the dealer experience end-to-end.”
